Product Basics

What is TrueDose Multipurpose Cooking Protein?

It is an unflavoured protein powder made with Fermented Yeast Protein Isolate, created specifically to add protein to everyday food. Mix it into roti dough, dal, curries, soups, oats, smoothies and other recipes instead of having to drink another protein shake.

Who is Multipurpose Cooking Protein made for?

It is ideal for adults who want to increase their protein intake but do not necessarily want another flavoured shake every day. If roti, dal, oats or other home-cooked meals are already part of your routine, this product lets you add protein to those existing habits.

How is Multipurpose Cooking Protein different from Daily Protein + Fiber?

They solve two different problems.

Multipurpose Cooking Protein:

Unflavoured and designed to be added to everyday cooking. One 40 g scoop provides 32 g protein.

Daily Protein + Fiber:

A flavoured protein drink designed for convenient everyday nutrition. Depending on the flavour, it provides 24–25 g protein plus 7 g fiber per scoop, along with added vitamins and minerals.

The simplest way to choose: want to eat your protein? Choose Multipurpose Cooking Protein. Want to drink your protein with fiber and micronutrients? Choose Daily Protein + Fiber.

Which TrueDose protein should I choose?

Choose Multipurpose Cooking Protein if you want an unflavoured protein that blends into normal food. Choose Daily Protein + Fiber if you prefer a flavoured shake with protein, fiber and added vitamins & minerals. You can also use both if that fits your overall diet.

How much protein does Multipurpose Cooking Protein provide?

One heaping scoop is 40 g and provides 32 g protein. You do not necessarily need to consume the entire scoop in one dish. The serving can be distributed through recipes depending on how you are using it.

What protein source is used?

The primary protein source is Fermented Yeast Protein. It is not whey protein and it is not a conventional pea, soy or rice protein.

Is this whey protein?

No. Multipurpose Cooking Protein uses Fermented Yeast Protein rather than whey. That does not mean whey is bad. Whey is an excellent protein source for people who enjoy whey-based shakes. This product simply solves a different problem: getting more protein through everyday food rather than another shake.

Is Multipurpose Cooking Protein the same formula as Daily Protein + Fiber?

No. Although both use yeast protein as an important protein source, they are different formulations created for different uses. Daily Protein + Fiber includes chicory root fiber, flavours and added vitamins and minerals and is designed primarily as a flavoured drink. Multipurpose Cooking Protein is designed around unflavoured, versatile cooking use.

Why would I choose Cooking Protein instead of a protein shake?

Because drinking protein is not convenient or enjoyable for everyone. Some people love shakes. Some eventually get tired of them. Multipurpose Cooking Protein lets you attach protein to something you are already doing: eating breakfast, making roti, having dal or cooking dinner. No separate shake habit required.

Cooking, Heat, Taste & Texture

Won't cooking destroy the protein?

No. Heat can change the structure of a protein, a process called denaturation, but it does not simply make the protein disappear. The product is specifically designed and positioned as heat-friendly and suitable for cooking and baking.

Can I actually cook it on a tawa or stove?

Yes. You can add it to recipes before cooking or mix it into suitable foods after cooking. The pack allows it to be added while cooking or after cooking according to preference.

Will cooking reduce the 32 g protein to zero?

No. Normal cooking does not convert 32 g of dietary protein into zero protein. Heat changes protein structure, which is completely normal. Eggs, paneer, dal and many other protein-containing foods are also cooked before being eaten.

Will it make my food taste like protein powder?

It is deliberately unflavoured because chocolate-flavoured dal would be a terrible idea. It is designed to blend into everyday recipes without taking over their normal flavour. You can notice some change if you add excessive quantities to a small recipe, which is why following sensible recipe ratios matters.

Will it change the texture of my food?

At the recommended quantities, it is designed to mix easily into normal recipes. Adding a large amount of any protein powder can affect hydration, thickness or texture, so do not automatically assume more powder equals a better recipe. Start with the recommended amount.

How to Use It in Everyday Food

How do I add it to roti dough?

Mix 1 scoop into 500 g atta for chapati, paratha or thepla dough, then knead as usual. For better distribution, mix the protein thoroughly into the dry atta before adding water.

Does one roti then contain 32 g protein?

No. One scoop adds 32 g protein to the entire batch of dough. That added protein is divided across however many rotis, parathas or theplas are made from that batch. The atta itself also contains protein, so the final protein per roti depends on the atta used, recipe and number of rotis made.

How do I use it in dal?

Use approximately 1/3 scoop for every 250 ml of dal. Mix thoroughly during or after cooking. For the smoothest result, you can first mix the powder with a small amount of liquid to form a slurry and then stir that into the dal.

Can I add it to curry, gravy or soup?

Yes. A useful starting ratio is approximately 1/3 scoop per 250 ml of dal, soup, curry or gravy. Scale the quantity according to the overall recipe rather than automatically adding a full scoop to every serving.

Can I add it to oats?

Yes. Mix approximately 1/2 scoop into 40–50 g oats or one serving of oatmeal. It can be stirred in while cooking or mixed thoroughly into warm oats afterwards.

Can I use it in chilla, dosa or other batters?

Yes. Because it is unflavoured, it can work well in savoury batters. Start with a moderate quantity, mix it evenly and adjust the water if the batter becomes thicker than usual.

Can I add it to a smoothie?

Yes. Blend 1 scoop into approximately 250–300 ml of a smoothie, shake or cold beverage. So despite the name Cooking Protein, cooking is not compulsory.

Can I simply mix it with water or milk?

Yes, but that is not where this product has its biggest advantage. If you are specifically looking for a tasty everyday protein drink, Daily Protein + Fiber is designed for that job. Multipurpose Cooking Protein makes more sense when you want versatility across both food and beverages.

Can I add it to tea or coffee?

You can experiment with it, but very hot, thin beverages are less forgiving than foods such as oats, dal or smoothies. Adding dry protein powder directly to boiling-hot coffee can create lumps. For a smoother result, first make a slurry with a small quantity of liquid and then mix it into the beverage.

Can I bake with it?

Yes. The product is designed to be heat-friendly and suitable for cooking and baking. Protein can change the moisture requirements of baked recipes, so some recipes may need a small adjustment in liquid.

What foods can I add it to?

It is meant to be flexible across normal meals: roti and paratha dough, dal, soups, curries, gravies, oats, savoury batters, smoothies and suitable baking recipes. You do not need to invent special high-protein recipes just to use it. The easiest applications are usually the foods you already eat.

Nutrition & Formulation

Is it sweet?

No. It is an unflavoured cooking protein, not a flavoured protein shake. That distinction is important because it allows you to use it in savoury foods where Chocolate or Cold Coffee protein obviously would not make sense.

Does it contain added fiber like Daily Protein + Fiber?

The two products are formulated differently. If your priority is a protein product that also gives you 7 g fiber per scoop, Daily Protein + Fiber is the more appropriate TrueDose product. Multipurpose Cooking Protein's core job is simpler: make everyday meals easier to fortify with protein.

Does it contain vitamins and minerals like Daily Protein + Fiber?

Daily Protein + Fiber is the TrueDose product specifically formulated with added vitamins and minerals alongside protein and fiber. Multipurpose Cooking Protein is positioned primarily around adding protein conveniently to food. This distinction should remain very clear across the website.

Does Multipurpose Cooking Protein contain digestive enzymes?

Yes. The formulation includes bromelain and papain as digestive enzymes. Individual digestive tolerance can still vary.

Does it contain BCAAs and EAAs?

Yes. One serving naturally provides approximately 6.17 g BCAA and 13.12 g EAA as part of the protein itself. They are not added simply to create a separate marketing claim.

Can lactose-intolerant people consume it?

Yes. Multipurpose Cooking Protein is 100% lactose-free and dairy-free.

Daily Use & Suitability

Do I need to consume one full scoop every day?

Not necessarily. A scoop gives you a convenient reference serving, but Cooking Protein is useful because it can be divided across recipes. You may use part of a scoop in oats, another portion in dal or one full scoop across a large batch of roti dough. Your total daily protein intake matters more than forcing exactly one scoop into one meal.

Can I use it more than once a day?

Yes. You can use once or more daily, depending on your requirements. That does not mean everyone needs multiple scoops. Your total diet, body weight, activity and protein requirement should guide how much you actually need.

Do I need to work out to use Multipurpose Cooking Protein?

No. Protein is required by everyone. Exercise may change how much protein an individual requires, but the product itself is not restricted to gym-goers or athletes.

Is this a gym supplement?

It is a protein product, but it has intentionally been designed around normal food rather than gym culture. If you think protein means shaker bottle + gym bag + chocolate shake, this product is meant to challenge exactly that assumption.

Can older adults consume it?

It can be a convenient way for adults to add protein to familiar meals rather than asking them to adopt a completely new shake habit. People with medical conditions, prescribed dietary restrictions or ongoing treatment should check with their healthcare professional before significantly increasing protein intake.

Does it contain purines?

Yes. Each scoop contains approximately 35.02 mg of naturally occurring purines. For comparison, low-purine diets are often kept below ~400 mg per day. If you have gout or high uric acid, consult your healthcare professional before use.

How It Fits Into the Rest of Your Diet

Is this meant to replace dal, paneer, eggs or other normal foods?

No. Those foods can continue being part of your diet. Multipurpose Cooking Protein simply gives you another convenient way to increase the protein content of meals without necessarily increasing food volume substantially.

Is Cooking Protein better than whey?

That is the wrong comparison. Whey is excellent if you want a conventional protein shake. Cooking Protein is useful if you want an unflavoured ingredient you can incorporate into normal food. The better product is the one that fits the way you actually eat.

Is Cooking Protein better than Daily Protein + Fiber?

Again, they serve different purposes. Choose Multipurpose Cooking Protein when you want maximum flexibility in food and 32 g protein per scoop. Choose Daily Protein + Fiber when you want a flavoured shake with protein + 7 g fiber + vitamins and minerals. One is not supposed to make the other redundant.

Can I use both products as part of the same TrueDose routine?

Absolutely. A natural TrueDose routine could be Daily Protein + Fiber when you want something quick and drinkable, and Multipurpose Cooking Protein when you are eating regular home food. But you do not need both just because they exist. Choose based on the gap in your diet and the format you are most likely to use consistently.

Storage

How should I store Multipurpose Cooking Protein?

Store it away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place and reseal the pack properly after every use. After opening, the contents can also be transferred to an airtight container. Always use a clean, dry scoop.

How quickly should I consume it after opening?

Consume within two months of opening.
